The event will be hosted by Golf-Club Kitzingen in a beautiful landscape. There will be a bus transfer from and to Würzburg for the contest. One of our sponsors, the EURO-FRIWA Group, arranged a golf tournament for their customers and suppliers parallel to the ETDG 2008 contest

Training:

You can train at the golf court on Monday, Sep 1, between 11 am and 4 pm. Please arrange the transfer yourself. Volunteers will assist you.

We kindly ask all competitors to be at the venue at 8.30 am at the latest for registration. The District Administrator, Mrs. Bischof, will start the contest at 9 pm.

Details:

• Golfers will compete in an 18-hole stroke-play individual tournament.
• Medals will be warded in both low gross and low net divisions. Ties will be resolved by ranking the holes by difficulty and then comparing the scores one at a time until the tie is broken.
• To compete in the net division, acceptable proof of handicap must be submitted; there will be no exceptions. To be acceptable, the certification must be during the previous three months and must be from a recognized authority.
• A handicap of up to 25 for both men and women will be allowed.
• Players to provide own clubs.

Further Explanations:

• Male and female competitors will be rated seperately according to the age group.
• Should there be less than 3 competitors in one age group the remaining players will be placed in the next lower age group.
• Transplantees and Dialysis patients will be rated separately.
• Medals will be awarded to both low gross and low net winners.
• Latest when registering after arriving in Würzburg kindly present proof of handicap, which should be current and authorised by the home club. No start time will be given without proof of handicap.
• Players with a handicap of higher then 36 will be rated as hc 36.

How to get there:

The golf tournament is hosted by Golfclub Kitzingen at the golf course situated at "In der Flak", 97318 Kitzingen.

We will arrange transfers by mini-bus and cars. Team managers will be informed on Monday evening about details. Those who want to get a lift to Kitzingen please be ready at your hotel at 09:45 am. If you want to drive with your own car please expect a 30 minutes drive. It is most convenient to use the B8 towards Nürnberg, turn right at the first crossing in Kitzingen and follow the signs "Golf-Platz".
